Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Grants to the Churches Conservation Trust Order 2008 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 Period for grants to the Churches Conservation Trust

The period beginning on 1st April 2008 and expiring on 31st March 2011 is specified for the purposes of section 1(1) of the Redundant Churches and other Religious Buildings Act 1969 (“ the Act ”).

Section 3 Aggregate amount of grants

The aggregate amount of the grants that may be paid under section 1(1) of the Act in the period specified in article 2 shall not exceed £9,485,418.

Section 4 Revocation of previous Order

The Grants to the Churches Conservation Trust Order 2006 is revoked.
