Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

These Regulations may be cited as the Cat and Dog Fur (Control of Import, Export and Placing on the Market) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 31st May 2009.

Section 2 Amendment of the Cat and Dog Fur (Control of Import, Export and Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008

(1) The Cat and Dog Fur (Control of Import, Export and Placing on the Market) Regulations 2008 are amended in accordance with the following regulations.

(2) In regulation 3(3), subparagraph (f), paragraph (ii), delete the words “under regulation 4”.

(3) At the end of the heading in regulation 4, insert the words “: England, Wales and Northern Ireland”.

(4) In regulation 4(1), after the words “enforcement authority”, insert the words “in England, Wales or Northern Ireland”.

(5) In regulation 4(5):

(a) after the semicolon in subparagraph (a), insert “and”; and

(b) delete the words “; and (c) in Scotland, to the Sheriff Court”.

(6) In regulation 5(3), delete the word “section” and substitute the word “regulation”.
