Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Asylum Support (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on the 6th July 2009.

Section 2Kind and levels of support for essential living needs
(1) The Asylum Support Regulations 2000 are amended as follows.
(2) For the table at regulation 10(2) of the Asylum Support Regulations 2000 substitute -

(3) After paragraph (3), insert –
(3A) For the purposes of the table at regulation 10(2), a decision to grant support is made on the date recorded on the letter granting asylum support to the applicant.
Section 3Revocation of the Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2008
The Asylum Support (Amendment) Regulations 2008 are revoked.
