These Regulations may be cited as the M3 and M25 (Thorpe Interchange) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2009 and shall come into force on 10th July 2009.

The M3 and M25 (Thorpe Interchange) (Speed Limit) Regulations 2009
In these Regulations—
“a link road” means—
the road leading from the clockwise carriageway at Junction 12 of the M25 Motorway at a point 1290 metres north of the Almners Road Overbridge to the westbound carriageway of the M3 Motorway at Junction 2; or
the road leading from the anti-clockwise carriageway at Junction 12 of the M25 Motorway at a point 1380 metres south of the Muckhatch Lane Overbridge to the westbound carriageway of the M3 Motorway at Junction 2;
“the M3 Motorway” means the M3 London to Southampton Motorway at Thorpe Interchange in the County of Surrey;
“the M25 Motorway” means the M25 London Orbital Motorway at Thorpe Interchange in the County of Surrey; and
“the westbound carriageway” means the westbound carriageway of the M3 Motorway between a point 840 metres east of Lyne Lane Overbridge and a point 1875 metres west of Lyne Lane Overbridge.
No person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour on the westbound carriageway or any link road.
