Section 1 Citation, commencement and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Scottish Parliamentary Pensions Act 2009 (Consequential Modifications) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 1st September 2009.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales and Scotland.

Section 2 Modifications

The modifications specified in the Schedule shall have effect.

Section 1

In section 11(7)(b) of the Pensions Act 1995 (powers to wind up schemes) after “any enactment” insert “(including the Scottish Parliamentary Pensions Act 2009 (asp 1) )”.

Section 2

In section 249A(3) of the Pensions Act 2004 (schemes exempt from requirement for internal controls), after paragraph (c) insert—

(d) the Scottish Parliamentary Pension Scheme as defined in section 4 of the Scottish Parliamentary Pensions Act 2009 (asp 1) .
