Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Variation of Monetary Limit) Order 2009 and shall come into force on the day after the day the Order is made .

Section 2Variation of limit in section 99(3)(a) of the Gambling Act 2005
In section 99(3)(a) of the Gambling Act 2005 (which requires a monetary limit to be imposed on the proceeds of any lottery promoted in reliance on a lottery operating licence by a non-commercial society or local authority) for “£2,000,000” substitute “£4,000,000”.
