Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Company, Limited Liability Partnership and Business Names (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Regulations 2009 and come into force on 1st October 2009.

Section 2 Amendments

(1) The Company and Business Names (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2009 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 13(1)—

(a) omit the “or” at the end of sub-paragraph (b); and

(b) after sub-paragraph (c) insert—

(d) an incorporated friendly society (as defined in section 116 of the Friendly Societies Act 1992 ) which has that name; or

(e) a company to which section 1040 of the Companies Act 2006 (companies authorised to register under the Companies Act 2006) applies which has that name .

(3) In Schedule 2, including that Schedule as applied to limited liability partnerships —

(a) in paragraph 3(f) for “CWMNI BUDDIANT CCC ” substitute “CWMNI BUDDIANT CYMUNEDOL CCC”;

(b) omit the “and” at the end of paragraph 3(u); and

(c) after paragraph 3(u) insert—

(ua) “INDUSTRIAL AND PROVIDENT SOCIETY”; and
