Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2009.

(2) In this Order, any reference to a numbered section is a reference to a section of the Child Maintenance and Other Payments Act 2008.

Section 2 Appointed day

(1) Section 31 (power to treat liability as satisfied) comes into force on 26th November 2009 for the purpose of making regulations and on 25th January 2010 for all other purposes.

(2) Section 38 (recovery of arrears from deceased’s estate) comes into force on 26th November 2009.
