Section 1

This Order may be cited as the A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads) (Detrunking) Order 2009 and shall come into force on 30th January 2009.

Section 2

In this Order—

(i) “the new trunk roads” means the new highways which the Secretary of State proposes to construct referred to in article 2(2)(i) of the A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads) Order 2009. ;

(ii) “the plan” means the plan numbered HA/10/MP/092 shown on 3 sheets and marked “The A46 Trunk Road (Newark to Widmerpool Improvement and Slip Roads)(Detrunking) Order 2009” signed by authority of the Secretary of State for Transport and deposited at Department of Communities and Local Government-DfT Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St Leonards on Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA

(iii) “the trunk road” means the Newark to Widmerpool Trunk Road (A46)

Section 3

The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the Nottinghamshire County Council that the new trunk roads are open for traffic.
