These Regulations may be cited as the Identity Cards Act 2006 (Provision of Information with Consent) Regulations 2009 (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and shall come into force on 29 April 2010.

The Identity Cards Act 2006 (Provision of Information with Consent) Regulations 2009 (Amendment) Regulations 2010
The Identity Cards Act 2006 (Provision of Information with Consent) Regulations 2009 are amended as follows.
In regulation 1(2) (Citation, commencement and interpretation)
(a) in the definition of “aerodrome” insert “in” after “it”;
(b) omit the definition of “airside pass”;
(c) after the definition of “consent” insert ““the Identity and Passport Service” means the Secretary of State acting through the Identity and Passport Service;”; and
(d) after the definition of “grant of approval” insert “”manager” has the meaning given to it in section 38(1) of the Aviation Security Act 1982 ;”.
In regulation 3 (Provision of consent), after sub-paragraph (b) omit “and” and after sub-paragraph (c) add
and
subject to regulation 4, a person who is accredited by the Identity and Passport Service to be provided with information from passport records under the Passport Validation Service,
In regulation 4(1) (Validation of identity card details), after “application with consent” add “for the purposes of section 12(1)(a) and (b) and 12(6) of the 2006 Act”.
