Section 1Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and come into force on 1st September 2010.

Section 2Amendment of the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006

In regulation 6 of the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006 (Contents of Attendance Register) after paragraph (5)(b) insert—

(c) a local or national emergency has resulted in widespread disruption to travel which has prevented the pupil from attending school.
