Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Rules may be cited as the Civil Procedure (Amendment No.3) Rules 2010.

(2) These Rules come into force on the day after they are made.

Section 2 Citation, commencement and interpretation

In these Rules a reference to a Part or rule by number alone means the Part or rule so numbered in the Civil Procedure Rules 1998 ;

Section 3 Amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules 1998

For rule 54.10(2) substitute—

(2) Directions under paragraph (1) may include—

(a) a stay ( GL ) of proceedings to which the claim relates;

(b) directions requiring the proceedings to be heard by a Divisional Court.

Section 4 Amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules 1998

After rule 54.12(5) insert—

(6) The court may give directions requiring the proceedings to be heard by a Divisional Court.
