Section 1 Citation and application

This Order—

(a) may be cited as the Animal Welfare (Codes of Practice) (Appointed Day) (England) Order 2010; and

(b) applies in England.

Section 2 Appointed Day

The appointed day for the following codes of practice coming into force is 6th April 2010—

(a) Code of Practice for the Welfare of Privately Kept Non-Human Primates ;

(b) Code of Practice for the Welfare of Cats ;

(c) Code of Practice for the Welfare of Dogs ;

(d) Code of Practice for the Welfare of Horses, Ponies, Donkeys and their Hybrids .
