(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Strategic Health Authorities: Further Duty to Involve Users) Regulations 2010.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2010.

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Strategic Health Authorities: Further Duty to Involve Users) Regulations 2010.

Each Strategic Health Authority must make arrangements which secure that health service users are, directly or through representatives, involved (whether by being consulted, or provided with information, or in other ways) in the matters specified in regulation 3.
(1) The matters referred to in regulation 2 are the preparation and review of plans made by or on behalf of a Strategic Health Authority which set out strategies for—
(a) improving the health of people in the area of the Authority; or
(b) the provision of health services in the area of the Authority which, if implemented, would have an impact on—
(i) the manner in which services are delivered to health service users, or
(ii) the range of services available to those users.
(2) The plans referred to in this regulation include plans made by or on behalf of the Strategic Health Authority jointly with another person.
