Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Goods Vehicles (Plating and Testing) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and they come into force on 1st April 2010.

Section 2 Amendment of Regulations

The Goods Vehicles (Plating and Testing) Regulations 1988 are amended as follows.

Section 3 Interpretation

In regulation 3(1), for paragraph (b) of the definition of “out of hours”, substitute—

(b) on any other day, other than between 6.00 am and 8.00 pm;

Section 4 Manner of making application for first examinations or periodical tests, and fees

In paragraph (3) of regulation 12, for the Table substitute—

Fee where first examination or periodical test is carried out at a vehicle testing station provided by the Secretary of State

Section 5 Fees for re-tests

In paragraph (1) of regulation 16, for the Table substitute—

Fee where re-test is carried out at a vehicle testing station provided by the Secretary of State

(£) Fee where the vehicle testing station appointed for the re-test is, at the applicant’s request, not one provided by the Secretary of State under section 52(2) of the 1988 Act

Section 6 Further amendments relating to fees

In the regulations specified in column (1) of the following Table, for each amount specified in column 2 substitute the amount specified in column (3).
