Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as The Public Service Vehicles (Operators’ Licences) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 and shall come into force on 1st April 2010.

Section 2 Amendments

(1) The Public Service Vehicles (Operators’ Licences) Regulations 1995 are amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph (1) of regulation 10, the words “comes into force and the date on which it”, are omitted.

(3) For regulation 11 (which deals with the coming into force and expiry of discs), there is substituted—

The expiry of discs

(1) Without prejudice to regulations 14 and 15, a disc shall expire at the end of the 5 year period specified in paragraph (2).

(2) The 5 year period referred to in paragraph (1) is the latest of—

(a) the period of 5 years beginning with the first day of the month in which the relevant licence comes into force and ending immediately before the fifth anniversary of that day; and

(b) each subsequent consecutive period of 5 years.
