Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Children Act 1989 (Contact Activity Directions and Conditions: Financial Assistance) (Revocation and Transitional Provision) (England) Regulations 2010 and come into force on 1st April 2010.

Section 2 Revocation and transitional provision

(1) The Children Act 1989 (Contact Activity Directions and Conditions: Financial Assistance) (England) Regulations 2008 (“the Contact Activity Regulations”) are revoked.

(2) Notwithstanding the revocation of the Contact Activity Regulations, the Secretary of State may continue to make payments in accordance with those Regulations in respect of a contact activity in which a qualifying individual takes part before 1st April 2010.
