The Overseas Territories (Change of Name) (No. 8) Order 2011

Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Overseas Territories (Change of Name) (No. 8) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 14th January 2012.

Section 2 Amendment of certain instruments

(1) Article 4 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 (Saint Helena) Order 1980 is amended by substituting for the words “St Helena and its Dependencies” the words “St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha”.

(2) The Admiralty Jurisdiction (St Helena and its Dependencies) Order 1969 is amended by –

(a) substituting for the words “St Helena and its Dependencies”, wherever they appear, the words “St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha”; and

(b) substituting for the words “St Helena or its Dependencies”, wherever they appear, the words “St Helena, Ascension or Tristan da Cunha”;

and accordingly the Order may be cited as the Admiralty Jurisdiction (St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha) Order 1969.
