The Pensions Increase (Modification) Regulations 2011

Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Pensions Increase (Modification) Regulations 2011, and shall come into force on 10th April 2011.

Section 2 Interpretation

In these Regulations—

“the 1971 Act ” means the Pensions (Increase) Act 1971;

“the 1975 Act ” means the Social Security Pensions Act 1975 .

Section 3 Modification

The provisions of section 59 of the 1975 Act shall apply in relation to an official pension subject to the modification in regulation 4.

Section 4 Modification

“Base period”, in relation to the direction specified in regulation 5, means the period ending with the coming into force of that direction and beginning on 12th April 2010.

Section 5 Modification

The direction specified in this regulation is the direction mentioned in section 59(1) of the 1975 Act coming into force on 11th April 2011 .
