Section 1
This Order may be cited as The A453 Birmingham to Nottingham Trunk Road (M1 Junction 24 to A52 Nottingham Improvement) (Detrunking) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 24th May 2012.

Section 2
In this Order —
(a) “the new trunk road” means the new highway which the Secretary of State proposes to construct referred to in article 2(2)(a) of the A453 Birmingham to Nottingham Trunk Road (M1 Junction 24 to A52 Nottingham Improvement and Slip Roads) Order 2012 ;
(b) “the trunk road” means the A453 Birmingham to Nottingham Trunk Road (M1 Junction 24 to A52 Nottingham)
Section 3
The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule shall cease to be a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies the Nottinghamshire County Council that the new trunk road is open for traffic.
