Section 1

This Order may be cited as the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 (Commencement No. 13) Order 2012.

Section 2

(1) To the extent they are not already in force for the purposes mentioned in paragraph (3), the provisions of the Nationality, Immigration and Asylum Act 2002 mentioned in paragraph (2) shall come into force for those purposes on the day after the day on which this Order is made.

(2) The provisions are—

(a) section 125 (carriers’ liability) so far as it relates to the provisions specified in sub-paragraph (b); and

(b) in Schedule 8, paragraphs 1 to 11 and 16(1) and (3).

(3) Those purposes are for the purposes of clandestine entrants (within the meaning of section 32(1) of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 ) who pass, or attempt to pass, through immigration control concealed in a vehicle.
