These Regulations may be cited as the Prosecution of Offences (Custody Time Limits) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 18th June 2012.

Section 2Amendment of the Prosecution of Offences (Custody Time Limits) Regulations 1987
(1) The Prosecution of Offences (Custody Time Limits) Regulations 1987 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 5 (custody limits in the Crown Court)—
(a) in paragraph (6B), omit “under section 51 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (“the 1998 Act ”)”;
(b) in paragraph (6C), omit “under section 51 of the 1998 Act”;
(c) in paragraph (6D), omit “under section 51 of the 1998 Act”.
