Section 1 Citation, interpretation and extent

(1) This Order may be cited as the Policing and Crime Act 2009 (Commencement No. 8) Order 2012.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Policing and Crime Act 2009.

(3) This Order extends to England and Wales and Northern Ireland.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 10th September 2012

The day appointed for the coming into force of the following provisions of the Act is 10th September 2012:

(a) section 96;

(b) section 112(1) insofar as it relates to the provisions of Schedule 7 specified in paragraph (c) below;

(c) Part 10 of Schedule 7.
