Section 1 Citation

This Order may be cited as the Localism Act 2011 (Commencement No. 1) (England) Order 2012.

Section 2 Commencement of provisions regarding assets of community value

(1) With the exception of the provisions mentioned in paragraph (2), Chapter 3 of Part 5 of the Localism Act 2011 shall come into force for England only on the day after this Order is made in so far as it is not already in force.

(2) The exceptions referred to in paragraph (1) are—

(a) in section 88(6), paragraph (b) of the definition of “legislation”,

(b) section 89(2)(b)(ii),

(c) section 101(4)(b),

(d) section 106(3),

(e) section 106(4), and

(f) in section 108(1), paragraph (b) of the definition of “appropriate authority”.
