Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the London Legacy Development Corporation (Establishment) Order 2012 and comes into force on 9th March 2012.

(2) In this Order—

“the 2011 Act” means the Localism Act 2011;

“Mayoral development area” means the area described in article 2 of this Order.

Section 2 Mayoral development area

(1) The Mayoral development area is the area of land, in Greater London, shown bounded externally by the inside edge of a black line on the map.

(2) In paragraph (1), “the map” means the map marked “Map referred to in the London Legacy Development Corporation (Establishment) Order 2012” of which prints signed by a Director in the Department for Communities and Local Government have been deposited, and are available for inspection, at the offices of the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government and at the offices of the Greater London Authority.

Section 3 Establishment and naming of the London Legacy Development Corporation

There is established a corporation for the Mayoral development area named the “London Legacy Development Corporation”.
