These Regulations may be cited as the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 6th April 2012.

Section 2Amendments to the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) Regulations 2004
The Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) Regulations 2004 are amended as follows.
Section 3Amendments to the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) Regulations 2004
In Schedule 1 (calculation of variable fee)—
(a) for paragraph (aa) substitute—
(aa) an amount for the time spent in providing the service on work of a specified type, calculated in accordance with the following table—
; and
(b) in paragraph (b) omit “with the exception of any service taking place within Great Britain to which regulation 8A or 8B(1)(c) relates,”.
Section 4Consequential revocations
The following regulations are revoked—
(a) regulation 2 of the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 ; and
(b) regulation 2(6)(b)(i) of the Measuring Instruments (EEC Requirements) (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2010 .
