Section 1Citation, commencement and transitional provision

(1) This Order may be cited as the Extradition Act 2003 (Amendment to Designations) Order 2013 and comes into force on 1st July 2013.

(2) This Order shall not apply to a case in respect of which—

(a) the Secretary of State has issued a certificate under section 70 of the Extradition Act 2003 , or

(b) a person has been arrested under a provisional warrant issued under section 73(3) of that Act,

(including those provisions as applied by section 194(3) of that Act) before the coming into force of this Order.

Section 2Amendment of Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 1 Territories) Order 2003

In article 2(2) of the Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 1 Territories) Order 2003 , after “Bulgaria,” insert “Croatia,”.

Section 3Amendment of Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 2 Territories) Order 2003

(1) In the Extradition Act 2003 (Designation of Part 2 Territories) Order 2003 (“the Part 2 Order ”), in article 2(2)—

(a) omit “Croatia,”; and

(b) after “Peru,” insert “The Republic of Korea,”.

(2) In article 3(2) of the Part 2 Order—

(a) omit “Croatia,”; and

(b) after “Norway,” insert “The Republic of Korea,”.

(3) In article 4(2) of the Part 2 Order, after “Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (65 days)” insert “India (65 days)”.
