Section 1 Citation, application and commencement

This Order—

(a) may be cited as the Control of Noise (Code of Practice on Noise from Ice-Cream Van Chimes Etc.) (England) Order 2013;

(b) extends to England and Wales but applies in relation to England only; and

(c) comes into force on 1st October 2013.

Section 2 Code of Practice

For the purpose of giving guidance on appropriate methods for minimising noise from loudspeakers fixed to vehicles used for the conveyance and sale to the public of a perishable commodity for human consumption, the Secretary of State has prepared, and approves and issues, the code of practice entitled “Code of Practice on Noise from Ice-Cream Van Chimes Etc. in England 2013” .

Section 3 Revocation

The Control of Noise (Code of Practice on Noise from Ice-Cream Van Chimes Etc.) Order 1981 is revoked .
