This Order may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) Order 2014 and shall come into force on the twenty-eighth day after the day on which it is made.

The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) Order 2014
The following amendments are made to Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
In Part 3 (which specifies the drugs which are subject to control under that Act as Class C drugs) in paragraph 1(a), after “Ketazolam”, insert—
Khat.
In Part 4 (which sets out the meaning of certain expressions used in that Schedule), after the entry for “concentrate of poppy-straw” insert—
“khat” means the leaves, stems or shoots of the plant of the species Catha edulis ;
