Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) This Order may be cited as the Water Act 2014 (Commencement No. 1) Order 2014.

(2) In this Order “ the Act ” means the Water Act 2014.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 14th July 2014

The following provisions of the Act come into force on 14th July 2014—

(a) section 40(1) (charging of fees by assessors for the enforcement of water quality);

(b) Schedule 9 (publication requirements under the Land Drainage Act 1991 ).

Section 3 Provision coming into force on 1st October 2014

Section 59 of the Act (main rivers in England and Wales) comes into force on 1st October 2014.
