Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Industrial and Provident Societies and Credit Unions (Electronic Communications) Order 2014 and comes into force on 6th April 2014.

Section 2 Electronic submission of registration documents

In section 2 of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 (registration of society) after subsection (2) insert—

(2A) In the case of an application for registration of a society which is made by electronic means, the reference in subsection (1)(b) or (2) to two copies of the society’s rules is to be read as being to a single copy of those rules.
