Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Electricity Act 1989 (Exemption from the Requirement for an Interconnector Licence) (Amendment) Order 2014 and comes into force on 20th October 2014.

Section 2 Amendments to the Electricity Act 1989 (Exemption from the Requirement for an Interconnector Licence) Order 2006

(1) The Electricity Act 1989 (Exemption from the Requirement for an Interconnector Licence) Order 2006 is amended as follows.

(2) In article 2—

(a) omit the definition of “ MEA ”;

(b) after the definition of “the Moyle Interconnector” insert—

“ MUA ” means the Manx Utilities Authority, a statutory board established by the Transfer of Functions (Manx Utilities Authority) Order 2014 ;

(c) omit the definition of “ NIE ”.

(3) In article 3—

(a) in paragraph (a), for “MEA” substitute “MUA”;

(b) at the end of paragraph (b), insert “and”;

(c) in paragraph (c), for “; and” substitute “.”; and

(d) omit paragraph (d).
