Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Police Act 1996 (Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 2014, and shall come into force on 19th March 2014.

Section 2 Amendment to the Police Act 1996 (Equipment) Regulations 2011

(1) The Police Act 1996 (Equipment) Regulations 2011 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 2 (requirements as to design and performance of equipment), for “regulation 3” substitute “regulations 3 and 4.”

(3) After regulation 3 (transitional provision) insert—

Expiry of relevant national framework arrangement

(4) Regulation 2 shall not apply where the relevant national framework arrangement has expired or has otherwise terminated.
