Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Equality Act 2006 (Dissolution of the Disability Committee) Order 2014 and comes into force on 1st April 2014.

Section 2 Dissolution of the Disability Committee

The Disability Committee, established under paragraph 49(1) of Part 5 of Schedule 1 to the Equality Act 2006, is dissolved with effect from 31st March 2017.

Section 3 Repeal and Consequential Amendments

(1) Part 5 of Schedule 1 to the Equality Act 2006 is repealed with effect from 31st March 2017.

(2) Accordingly, in Part 2 of that Schedule, omit paragraphs 21(2), 22(3), 29(2) and 30(3) from that date.
