Section 1Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service Commissioning Board and Clinical Commissioning Groups (Responsibilities and Standing Rules) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st April 2014.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations ” means the National Health Service Commissioning Board and Clinical Commissioning Groups (Responsibilities and Standing Rules) Regulations 2012 .

Section 2Amendments in relation to services for persons detained in secure children’s homes

(1) In regulation 10 of the principal Regulations (services for prisoners and other detainees), in paragraph (2)(b), delete the words “(except those specified in Part 1 of Schedule 3)”.

(2) Omit Part 1 of Schedule 3 (secure children’s homes to which regulation 10(2)(b) does not apply).

Section 3Amendments in relation to services for rare and very rare conditions which are commissioned by the Board

(1) Schedule 4 to the principal Regulations is amended as follows.

(2) After paragraph 22, insert—

(22A) Atypical haemolytic uraemic syndrome services.

(3) After paragraph 57, insert—

(57A) Hand transplantation for adults.
