Section 1 Citation and commencement

These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Restriction of Flying) (Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Shooting Event, Barry Buddon, Angus) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 25th July 2014.

Section 2 Interpretation

All times referred to in these Regulations are Co-ordinated Universal Time.

Section 3 Restricted airspace

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), between 0530 hours and 1900 hours on 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th July 2014 no aircraft is to fly below 3,000 feet above mean sea level within the area bounded by a circle having a radius of 2 nautical miles whose centre is at 562917N 0024431W.

(2) Paragraph (1) does not apply to any aircraft—

(a) flying in the service of—

(i) Police Scotland;

(ii) the National Police Air Service;

(iii) the Scottish Air Ambulance Service;

(iv) the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service;

(v) the Maritime and Coastguard Agency; or

(vi) Sunset and Vine Global Television Limited ;

(b) flying in accordance with the permission of the Chief Constable of Police Scotland.
