Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Purbeck (Electoral Changes) Order 2015.

(2) This Order comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after it is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2015.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order—

“the 2014 Order ” means the Purbeck District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014 ;

“ordinary day of election of councillors” has the meaning given by section 37 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 ;

“district ward” means a district ward established by article 3 of the Purbeck (Electoral Changes) Order 2013 .

Section 3 Related alterations of district ward boundaries

(1) Each area that ceases to be part of the parish of Bere Regis and becomes part of the parish of Affpuddle and Turnerspuddle in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Bere Regis district ward and becomes part of Wool district ward.

(2) Each area that ceases to be part of the parish of Arne and becomes part of the parish of Wareham Town in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Creech Barrow district ward and becomes part of Wareham district ward.

(3) Each area that ceases to be part of the parish of Wareham Town and becomes part of the parish of Arne in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Wareham district ward and becomes part of Creech Barrow district ward.

(4) Each area that ceases to be part of the parish of Corfe Castle and becomes part of the parish of Worth Matravers in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Castle district ward and becomes part of Langton district ward.
