Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Rugby (Electoral Changes) Order 2015.

(2) This Order comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after it is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2015.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order—

“the 2014 Order ” means the Rugby Borough Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014 ;

“ordinary day of election of councillors” has the meaning given by section 37 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 ;

“district ward” means a district ward established by article 3 of the Rugby (Electoral Changes) Order 2012 .

Section 3 Related alterations of district ward boundaries

(1) The area that ceases to be part of the parish of Dunchurch and becomes part of the parish of Cawston in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Dunsmore district ward and becomes part of Admirals and Cawston district ward.

(2) The area that ceases to be part of the parish of Cawston and becomes part of the parish of Long Lawford in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of Admirals and Cawston district ward and becomes part of Wolston and the Lawfords district ward.
