(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (Continuity of Information: Interpretation) Regulations 2015.
(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st October 2015.
(3) In these Regulations—
“ the Act ” means the Health and Social Care Act 2012;
“local authority” means–
a county council in England;
a metropolitan district council;
a non-metropolitan district council for an area for which there is no county council;
a London borough council;
the Common Council of the City of London; or
the Council of the Isles of Scilly;
“children’s social services functions” means, in relation to a local authority, functions for which the authority’s director of children’s services is responsible under section 18(2)(b), (c), and (d) of the Children Act 2004 ;
“relevant care functions” has the same meaning as in section 1(2) of the Children and Young Persons Act 2008 .
