Section 1 Citation and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Infrastructure Act 2015 (Commencement No. 4) Regulations 2015.

(2) In these Regulations, “ the Act ” means the Infrastructure Act 2015.

Section 2 Provisions coming into force on 30th July 2015

(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the day appointed for the coming into force of section 50 (onshore hydraulic fracturing: safeguards) of the Act is 30th July 2015.

(2) Section 50 comes into force only for the purposes of the insertion of the following provisions in the Petroleum Act 1998 —

(a) section 4B(4);

(b) section 4B(5);

(c) section 4B(6);

(d) section 4B(7).
