Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions Designation Order 2016 and comes into force on 13th June 2016.

Section 2 Revocation of previous orders

The following orders are revoked—

(a) the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (Metropolitan Borough of Gateshead) Order 2007 ;

(b) the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Dorset) (District of East Dorset) Order 2002 ; and

(c) the Road Traffic (Permitted Parking Area and Special Parking Area) (County of Dorset) (District of West Dorset) Order 2002 .

Section 3 Designation of civil enforcement areas and special enforcement areas under the Traffic Management Act 2004

(1) The Secretary of State designates each of the areas mentioned in paragraph (2) as—

(a) a civil enforcement area for parking contraventions; and

(b) a special enforcement area.

(2) The areas are—

(a) the part of the area of The Council of the City of Wakefield specified in Schedule 1;

(b) the part of the area of The Borough Council of Gateshead specified in Schedule 2; and

(c) the part of the area of The Dorset County Council specified in Schedule 3.
