Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the Sevenoaks (Electoral Changes) Order 2016.

(2) This Order comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which it is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2019.

Section 2 Related alterations of district ward boundaries

(1) The area that ceases to be part of the parish of Chevening and becomes part of the parish of Sevenoaks Weald in consequence of the 2014 Order ceases to be part of the district ward of Brasted, Chevening & Sundridge and becomes part of the district ward of Seal & Weald.

(2) In this article—

“district ward” means a district ward established by article 2 of the Sevenoaks (Electoral Changes) Order 2001 ; and

“the 2014 Order” means the Sevenoaks District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2014 No.2 .
