Section 1Citation and commencement
These Regulations may be cited as the Acquisition of Land (Rate of Interest after Entry) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 30th September 2016.

Section 2Amendment of the Acquisition of Land (Rate of Interest after Entry) Regulations 1995
(1) The Acquisition of Land (Rate of Interest after Entry) Regulations 1995 are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2 (rate of interest) at the end of paragraph (1) insert “, except that if the standard rate is less than 0.5 per cent. per annum, the rate of interest on the compensation shall be 0 per cent. per annum”.
