Section 1Citation, commencement and extent

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Misuse of Drugs (Amendment) (No. 2) (England, Wales and Scotland) Regulations 2017 and come into force on the 27th November 2017.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales and Scotland.

Section 2Amendment of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001

The Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 are amended as follows.

Section 3Amendment of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001

In paragraph 1(a) of Schedule 1 (which specifies controlled drugs subject to the requirements of regulations 14, 15, 16, 18, 19, 20, 23, 26 and 27) after “Methylnaphthidate (HDMP-28)” insert—

N -methyl-1-(thiophen-2-yl)propan-2-amine (methiopropamine or MPA)
