The South Cambridgeshire (Electoral Changes) Order 2018

Section 1 Citation and commencement

(1) This Order may be cited as the South Cambridgeshire (Electoral Changes) Order 2018.

(2) This article comes into force on the day after the day on which this Order is made.

(3) Article 2 comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which this Order is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2021.

(4) Article 3 comes into force—

(a) for the purpose of proceedings preliminary or relating to the election of councillors, on the day after the day on which this Order is made;

(b) for all other purposes, on the ordinary day of election of councillors in England in 2022.

Section 2 Alteration of county electoral division boundaries

(1) The area that ceases to be part of the parish listed in the first column of table 1 in Schedule 1 and becomes part of the parish listed in the second column of that table in consequence of the South Cambridgeshire District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2017 relating of the Parishes of Haslingfield, Grantchester, and Hauxton , ceases to be part of the electoral division listed in the third column of that table and becomes part of the electoral division listed in the fourth column of that table.

(2) The areas that cease to be part of the parishes listed in the first column of table 2 in Schedule 1 and become part of the parishes listed in the second column of that table in consequence of the South Cambridgeshire District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2017 relating of the Parishes of Cambourne, Caxton and Elsworth , cease to be part of the electoral divisions listed in the third column of that table and become part of the electoral divisions listed in the fourth column of that table.

(3) The area that ceases to be part of the parish listed in the first column of table 3 in Schedule 1 and becomes part of the parish listed in the second column of that table in consequence of the South Cambridgeshire District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2018 relating of the Parishes of Willingham and Over , ceases to be part of the electoral division listed in the third column of that table and becomes part of the electoral division listed in the fourth column of that table.

Section 3 Alteration of district ward boundaries

The areas that cease to be part of the parishes listed in the first column of the table in Schedule 2 and become part of the parishes listed in the second column of that table in consequence of the South Cambridgeshire District Council (Reorganisation of Community Governance) Order 2017 relating to the Parishes of Cambourne, Caxton and Elsworth, cease to be part of the district ward listed in the third column of that table and become part of the district ward listed in the fourth column of that table.
