Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Alteration of Coroner Areas) Order 2018 and comes into force on 1st August 2018.

Section 2 Interpretation

In this Order—

“coroner area” means a coroner area specified in the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 (Coroner Areas and Assistant Coroners) Transitional Order 2013 .

Section 3 Altered coroner areas

(1) The coroner areas in paragraph (2) are combined to create the coroner area of Teesside and Hartlepool.

(2) The coroner areas of—

(a) Teesside; and

(b) Hartlepool.
