Section 1Citation and commencement
This Order may be cited as the County Courts (Interest on Judgment Debts) (Amendment) Order 2019 and shall come into force on 27th May 2019.

Section 2Amendment of the County Courts (Interest on Judgement Debts) Order 1991
(1) Article 2 (the general rule) of the County Courts (Interest on Judgment Debts) Order 1991 is amended as follows.
(2) In paragraph (1), after “given” insert “, unless the court orders otherwise”.
(3) In paragraph (2), after “from that later date” insert “, unless the court orders otherwise”.
(4) After paragraph (2) insert—
(2A) The court may order that interest shall begin to run from a date before the date on which the relevant judgment is given.
