These Regulations may be cited as the Care and Support (Charging and Assessment of Resources) (Amendment) Regulations 2020 and come into force on 25th February 2020.

Section 2Amendment of the Care and Support (Charging and Assessment of Resources) Regulations 2014
In Schedule 2 to the Care and Support (Charging and Assessment of Resources) Regulations 2014 (capital to be disregarded), after paragraph 36 insert—
(37) An ex-gratia payment of £20,000 to a former child migrant from the scheme established by Her Majesty’s Government for former British child migrants in response to the Investigation Report on Child Migration Programmes by the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse published on 1st March 2018, and which opened for applications on 1st March 2019.
