Section 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) (Amendment) (No. 8) Regulations 2020 and come into force at 4.00 a.m. on 15th August 2020.

(2) In these Regulations, “the principal Regulations” means the Health Protection (Coronavirus, International Travel) (England) Regulations 2020 .

Section 2 Amendment of the principal Regulations

(1) The principal Regulations are amended as follows.

(2) In Schedule A1 (exempt countries and territories)—

(a) in Part 1, omit the entries for “Aruba”, “France”, “Malta”, “Monaco” and “The Netherlands”;

(b) in Part 2, omit the entry for “Turks and Caicos Islands”.

(3) In Schedule 3 (specified competitions), at the end insert—

Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Golf Tournament (European Tour)

The Northern Ireland Golf Open Tournament (European Challenge Tour supported by the R&A)

Rugby League Challenge Cup

Matchroom Fight Camp - International Heavyweight Contest

Matchroom Fight Camp - World Boxing Council World Heavy Title

Matchroom Fight Camp - World Boxing Organisation World Female Light Title

Section 3 Transitional and saving provision

In relation to any person who arrived in England on or after 10th July but before 4.00 a.m. on 15th August 2020, the principal Regulations apply as if the amendments made by regulation 2(2) had not been made.
