The Access to the Countryside (Coastal Margin) (Whitehaven to Silecroft) Order 2021

Section 1 Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Access to the Countryside (Coastal Margin) (Whitehaven to Silecroft) Order 2021 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Section 2 End of access preparation period

(1) In relation to land which is coastal margin as a result of the relevant approval, the day appointed as the day on which the access preparation period ends is 30 March 2021.

(2) In paragraph (1), “the relevant approval” means the approval by the Secretary of State under section 52(1) of the Act of the relevant report on 28 September 2015.

(3) In paragraph (2), “the relevant report” means the report entitled “Coastal Access Whitehaven to Silecroft” submitted by Natural England to the Secretary of State under sections 51 and 55A of the Act on 16 October 2014 .

(4) In this article, “the Act” means the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 .
